Designing your child's playroom can be a fun thing to do, not only does it help the cognitive growth of your child but it also enhances the décor of your home. As parents, we often look toward celebrity parents to find out what kind of trends are going on with the interior design. If Kim Kardashian is doing something different with her playroom we might want to emulate it in some shape or form. So we are going to be taking a look at how certain celebrities have styled their children's playrooms, and how we can incorporate our touches into them.
Kim Kardashian West
You might not expect anything less from Kim Kardashian but when she displayed her kid's playroom earlier this year some were shocked by the sheer size. Kardashian went for an all-white setup, complete with a rocking horse fleet and an actual stage with musical equipment. She incorporated a Melissa and Doug grocery store section as well and you’ll notice that there are quite a few play rugs throughout the area.
Play rugs make a great tool for teaching children life situations as well as mathematics. Even someone in Kim Kardashian's income bracket can see that a play rug is something that children will enjoy year after year. Another benefit of having a play rug is that it enhances the aesthetic and décor of the room, especially if you are going for a children's playroom. There is just so much that you can get out of a great play rug like the ones from IVI World.
Nate Berkus is another well-known celebrity that has taken to designing a special place for his daughter. At first glance, the playroom has a bit of an old-fashioned look to it, but there are also a few notable art pieces. The bed utilizes a solid frame throughout, which matches the velvet carpet which is also decked out in red. Even if you have carpeting in your home you can still benefit from a play rug in an area.
Berkus is going for a more traditional theme, although there is plenty of pink to go around. The IVI Mini City play carpet would fit perfectly into this setup. Little girls can get a great number of benefits from a play rug as there are plenty of fun games that they can play. If your little girl is into horses then the IVI Farm play rug would fit right into their room. There are so many fun options that you can do with a play rug that your children will enjoy for years to come.
Rochelle & Marvin Humes
The Humes family went for a more traditional children's playroom theme, which features space and music. The goal was to hide the toys as much as possible, but still have a functional stage that the kiddos can express themselves on. There are a few play rugs that were used in this playroom as the areas have been designated for certain usages. If the kids aren’t playing on the stage they are in one of the toy corners playing quietly.
Play rugs enable you to get the most out of your space, even if the area is small. Because a play rug can designate that area as the children’s area. The things that your child will learn from the use of a play rug are almost unquestionable. Play rugs enhance cognitive ability and memory which are two things that are very important for a young child. If you want to make a playroom that is similar to Hume’s playroom then incorporating a play rug is important.
Jade Roper & Tanner Tolbert
The Tolbert’s are a particularly unique case study because they found love on Bachelor in Paradise. Now they have three babies to show for it and have increasingly taken to social media to show the progress of their home design. Creating a playroom that had the Montessori style to it was important for Jade, as she incorporated many classic touches. Again with this room, you see a firm emphasis on white and a lot of it.
But even if the playroom is going to be mostly white and bright a play rug can still fit into place. Playing has a unique style to it that will stand out wherever you place it. If you are using white carpets a play rug can do a lot of good in protecting the flooring from damage. A boho-inspired tent is a fun place where the kids can play and have their own “little” space, and you’ll see these tents continuing to rise in popularity.
How Play Rugs Enhance Your Home Décor
Home décor rugs in general can greatly enhance the décor of your home, but adding a children's play rug can add a whole new level of enhancement. If you have children then you want to make sure that they have a special place where they can play and spend their time. A play rug will automatically segregate a certain area of the home that is specifically for children. The IVI World play rugs are creatively designed with bright colors and relatable situations.
Whether you are putting the play rug in the living or a bedroom several different sizes can work for your room design. Children are going to use a play rug to play on top of so basically any of their usual toys will work with it. Boys and girls love to play with blocks on top of the play rugs so this is the general go-to for a toy that can be used with the rug. Likewise, a colorful and roomy toy box should be placed near or around the play rug of choice.
This will enable your kiddos to easily get to their toys and have their fun without creating a mess. Designing a kid's playroom or bedroom can be a fun experience and incorporating a play rug into the mix will help things out.
